I loved speaking and singing at these banquets. As I raised our three children. I performed my original songs with a focus on moms and Jesus. This brought many opportunities to share.
With our kids 7 and 11, I spent time in two psychiatric hospitals. Healing from childhood trauma didn't happen as fast as I wanted. I begged God to give me the years of memories I had lost, but He had a different plan.
As I shared my testimony, I sang my songs. Friends who knew me said, "Jeanie thinks in songs." People who didn't know me thought I was quirky. After recording All I Have to Share my first CD, I was eager to record the next one. It took 7 years for that dream. When I received the resources to record, I immediately wrote The Rainbow for the "Roots" CD.
This became the theme song for a little girl in NC who was battling cancer. When she was healed, I went to her celebration to sing the song.
